Fall Harvest Sale - Our church held our annual harvest sale on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the chuch fellowship hall and church grounds. We began serving barbecue pork and chicken plates at 11 A.M. and continued serving until approximately 6:00 P.M. Our church family, friends, and neighbors enjoyed the delicious food and the warm fellowship. A large group of the Ghost Riders delivered toys to the church at 2:30. The toys are donated to Falcon Children's Home and will be delivered Thanksgiving week. We held our annual silent auction starting at 11 A.M. and closing at 5:30 with everyone enjoying the last few minutes placing bids on their favorite items. We held our live auction from 6:00 until 8:00 offering many homemade items as well as donated items that now have a new home. Again we had a tremendously successful harvest enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone who helped with our harvest sale this year. Come on out next year and enjoy this event with us!
Church Homecoming - On Sunday October 12 we celebrated our church Homecoming. Our special speaker was the General Superintendent of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Presiding Bishop James D. Leggett. Brother Leggett is the highest elected official of the entire denomination giving leadership to the church in the United States and around the world. He is originally from Williamston, NC. Our church families enjoyed a great day of fellowship and worship. The musical group Sounds of Praise as well as the TSPHC choir shared their message through song. Bishop Leggett shared an inspirational message that encouraged us to keep working in the church as our ancestors did and to keep running and never give up! Homecoming 2008
FALL ROUND-UP was held on the church grounds on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 10:00 am until late afternoon. Family, friends, and neighbors joined the church for this wonderful day of fellowship. Our dress theme was western and all the children loved their hats and bandanas. We had wonderful food including hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. We played horseshoes, volleyball, bingo, checkers, and enjoyed horseback riding. Thank you to everyone who participated! The day was greatly enjoyed by everyone from the youngest to the oldest!
Our Vacation Bible School was held from July 27th - August 1st. Our theme this year was
"SONHARVEST COUNTY FAIR". The children as well as the adults enjoyed the crafts, music, and Bible study. Click here for our "thank you" program and click here for our VBS songs.
VBS 2008
Our first annual church service on the grounds was held on April 27, 2008. The congregation enjoyed several musical groups, the morning message from our pastor Rev. Frederick Dixon, and a picnic on the grounds after the worship service.
