My 10 Resolutions for 2009
1. Let us resolve to forget the past and to honor God more in 2009! Philippians 3:13b – 14: “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
2. Let us resolve to live for Christ before the world! Philippians 1:21: “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
3. Let us resolve to trust God with a strong faith! Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
4. Let us resolve to be faithful in worship! Hebrews 10:25: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.”
5. Let us resolve to honor God with our income! Malachi 3:10: “Bring you all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
6. Let us resolve to bear one another’s burdens! Galatians 6:2: “Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
7. Let us resolve to faithfully witness to the unsaved! Psalms 126: 5-6: “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
8. Let us resolve to daily read the Bible and hide its truth in our heart! 2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
9. Let us resolve to pray and complain less! I Thessalonians 5:17: “Pray without ceasing.” Psalms 63:3-4: “ Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live. I will lift up my hands in thy Name.”
10. Let us resolve to daily have a quiet time with Jesus! Matthew 11:28: “Come unto Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 6:6-7: “When you pray enter into your closet (place of prayer) and shut the door. As you pray to your Father in secret, He will reward you openly.”
